Piezo Motor Driven Stages

Our compact nano positioning xyz-stages are ideal for OEM applications where space is limited and payloads are small.  The piezo motor drive system is matched to payload capability of the unit.

Applications of these stages are can be found in medical equipment or devices where features listed below are important.

  • Compact Size
  • Non-magnetic
  • Vacuum Ready Capability
  • Self-locking at rest (no heat dissipation)

We build these units in our "clean bench" assembly area to insure they are free of debris particles.  The clean bench with horizontal laminar flow provides a HEPA-filtered environment to protect our assemblies from airborne contamination.  This is important to achieve the accuracy requirements that our customers require.

All hardware (i.e., piezo motors, encoders, crossed roller units) are seamlessly integrated into the unit.  This allows us to achieve a very compact size.

These units can be made vacuum ready.  A few areas where you can find these products in use are listed below.

  • Life Science Equipment
  • Super Resolution Microscopy
  • SR Optical Microscopy
  • Scanning Probe Microscopy
  • Single Molecule Spectroscopy
  • Scanning Microscope
  • Auto Focusing Systems

To start a new design we require a dialog with your lead engineer so we can clearly establish the specificiations and acceptance criteria.

Our engineers use 3D CAD modelling software to make virtual models for you to review and evaluate within your overall system prior to cutting metal.  Once a prototype is order the engineer will also be involve in the assembly to resolve issues and improve upon the product.

This "hands-on" approach is very important to the development of the product.
