Linear Guides
Manufacturing a broad range of linear bearings and linear guides, TPA can supply the right solution for your payload guidance and load bearing requirements. Linear bearings are designed to carry payloads from one point to another along a fixed path or rail, using precision, low friction transportation either via ball bearings or rollers. In order to meet the demands of the any industrial environment, our linear bearings are available in a number of sizes, load ratings, and with various features. For example, besides our standard linear bearings, we also carry miniature linear bearings, high temperature linear bearings, crossed roller bearings, needle roller bearings, and cam roller guides.
Depending upon the specific type, linear bearings are available with load capacities up to 320 kN (72,000 lbs.), with industry standard rail sizes from 15 to 65. A number of standard linear bearing rail lengths are available, but with splicing, nearly any length can be achieved. View the links below for full details on all of our linear bearing styles.
Linear Guides (Ball Bearing Type)
Standard Linear Guides provide high capacity, low friction guidance of payloads for machine applications. With 4 rows of recirculating balls engaged in a precision ground rail, these bearings provide load capacity in all directions.
- Industry standard sizes 15 to 65
- Load capacities from 4.5kN to 320kN (1000lbs to 72000lbs)
- Rail lengths to 4000mm with splicing available for longer lengths

Linear Guides (Roller Bearing Type)
Roller Bearing Linear Guides provide high capacity with the least amount of deflection under load while offering low friction guidance of payloads for machine applications. With 4 rows of recirculating rollers engaged in a precision ground rail, these bearings provide load capacity in all directions.
- Industry standard sizes 25 to 55
- High load carrying capacity
- Very little deflection under load resulting in high stiffness and rigidity
- Rail lengths to 4000mm with splicing available for longer lengths
Miniature Linear Guides
Miniature Linear Guides provide precision, low friction guidance of payloads for machine and instrument applications. These bearings have 2 rows of recirculating balls engaged with 4 point contact in a precision ground rail which provides load capacity in all directions.
- Industry standard sizes 3 to 15 in both standard and wide format rails
- Load capacities to 12kN (2800lbs)
- Rail lengths to 1200mm
- Options for seals, scrapers, and maintenance free lubrication
- Stainless Steel construction and optional Raydent® treatment for corrosion resistance
High Temperature Linear Bearings
High Temperature Linear Bearings provide load capacity and precision guidance like standard linear guides but are modified for high temperature environments. The all metal construction is suitable for temperatures up to 180°C (356°F). Recirculating ball rails and economical cam rollers based designs are available.

Crossed Roller Bearings
Linear Crossed Roller Bearings provide the ultimate in smooth and accurate linear motion. The caged rollers are captured between hardened and ground races. The rollers do not recirculate providing a very smooth motion not found in recirculating bearings.
Needle Roller Bearings
Linear Needle Bearings are used where high capacity, smooth, accurate motion is require, or when the application calls for Maximum Stiffness. Like Crossed Roller Bearings they provide smooth non recirculating motion, but the long line of roller contact and large number of needle rollers makes for the stiffest linear bearing arrangement.
Cam Roller Guides
Cam Roller Guides provide high performance linear guidance for payloads by using large diameter ball bearing rollers in a profiled rail. These linear bearing systems are available in several different designs and sizes to meet a range of payload requirements.
- MR Series - available in 3 sizes - high load capability. The MR Series is highly corrosion resistant and capable of dealing with contaminates very well. It is ideal for dirty harsh environments.
- LAZ Series - economical linear bearing system for basic linear motion applications
- LAX Series - economical linear bearing system that is made entirely in stainless steel for basic motion applications that require corrosion resistance
Telescopic Linear Guides
Telescopic Linear Rails are commonly used to support drawers and doors in industrial, transportation, and military applications.
